Om Tribe Co-Founder, Randi Cerini, was featured in Yoga City NYC’s “Yoga Sleuth” section in which a secret yoga agent drops in to various yoga teachers’s classes, unannounced, and writes about their experience in class.
“Randi has been an amazing yoga instructor for me for the past two years. She always checks on what goals/needs I have for the session before we start. Every session is customized for me and completely unique, it never feels repetitive and the time goes by quickly. She knows the right way to suggest adjustments without overwhelming me with too much information. Also, she has adapted her teaching very well for virtual sessions over Zoom. My yoga practice and flexibility have improved a lot thanks to Randi.”
“I saw Randi today and she was great! I had surgery on my elbow and it has never healed the way I wanted to. She helped me with the basics and then helped me get a great workout while focusing on not hurting my elbow. I felt great after.”
“I took a private lesson with Randi that I was seriously considering cancelling due to a thrown low back. I ultimately decided to go ahead with it, which was the best decision I could have made. Randi altered her plan to instead create a yogic pathway to healing my low back pain. She took her cues from how I was feeling as we moved through the flow, always maintaining a perfect balance of sensitive yet steady instruction. I really appreciated how much care and wisdom she put into guiding me through a healing practice that left me feeling restored and strong. I left that session free from pain and imbued with a more confident sense of how to move my body in a way that honored my chronic low back pain; movements I still use today. This was such a gift for me. On top of the fact that taking any vinyasa flow class with Randi is consistently a joyful spiritual and physical experience, I now feel comfortable and confident in her ability to heal and take care of a specific injury in the context of a yogic practice.”
“I was never a fan of yoga (having tried several different kinds and various studios) until I worked with Randi - now, I’m very excited to take more classes! What I like best about Randi is her teaching style - she has a very calming, welcoming, non-judgmental presence and I immediately felt at ease. She also comes over and corrects poses, which as a newbie, I found to be super helpful. I would definitely recommend Randi and I plan on taking more of her classes!”
“Randi Cerini is one of my favorite yoga instructors. She is very friendly, welcoming, and caring. She makes sure that all of her teachings/routines are in line with her students’ body types and needs. She also gives excellent adjustments. Through all of my years taking yoga classes, Randi was the only instructor who adjusted me to properly open up my shoulders and square my hips. These adjustments have made me a better yogi. Randi is an excellent instructor and I definitely recommend her classes.”
“I did a handful of private one on one sessions with Randi and she is absolutely fantastic! She is extremely charming and personable and her strong background in movement and dance made her teaching so relatable to a former gymnast like myself. Randi is different from any other yoga teacher I’ve had because she knows how to relate to her students on a personal level and make that experience all the more gratifying on an emotional, physical, and spiritual level. If you are serious about yoga, especially if you are just beginning, it is so important to have at least one private session so you can create a strong foundation to build upon. Those couple one on one sessions with Randi were life changing! Her gentle hands-on adjustments, demonstrations, and encouragement played a pivotal role in my yoga journey! I would not have come as far as I have without her.”
